Introduction

Yugoslavia made its debut in Fed Cup in 1969. It has participated in this mega event for 28 years, competing in 87 ties in all. Sabrina Goles and Dragana Zaric made the most number of total wins and the latter won the most number of singles matches where as the former won the most number of doubles matches. Both are part of the best doubles teams that also include Renata Sasak and Katarina Daskovic. In the round robin tie against Poland which was the first for Yugoslavia at the 2002 Fed Cup it made a 2-1 win. The second tie brought Turkey against Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia made a total win against Turkey (3-0). The third tie was against Luxembourg. Luxembourg proved stronger than Yugoslavia. It lost the tie 1-2. The last tie was against Slovenia. In this round robin tie of Yugoslavia in Europe/Africa Group 1 pool D was a total loss again. They did not play all the three matches. After two the tie was ended. Yugoslavia lost the tie 0-2.
