Introduction

The Fed Cup is the female version of the Davis Cup as it is played on the same format but between the female tennis players. It is also played between the teams fielded by different nations and not individual players. The 2002 Fed Cup was the 40th edition of the tournament. There were 83 nations fielding their teams to participate in this tournament. Indonesia at the 2002 Federation Cup participated from the group I of the Asia/Oceanic Zone.
