Egypt at the 2002 Federation Cup took part in the Federation cup for the first time in 1986. The country has never progressed from Group II of the Europe / Africa Zone.

Egypt at the 2002 Federation Cup took part in Group II of the Europe / Africa Zone. The other countries in this zone were Algeria, Botswana, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, South Africa and Tunisia.

Egypt at the 2002 Federation Cup put up a very dismal performance. Out of the three Round Robin matches, it won only one match and lost two matches. Interestingly, all the matches were clean sweeps of all the three matches. Thus, the performance of Egypt in the Round Robin was not all impressive. In the first round also, it could not win a single match and lost to Lithuania. It could not get promoted from this group. So, the overall performance was very disgusting and disappointing.
