Performance of Poland at the 2001 Federation Cup
Poland at the 2001 Federation Cup played three Round Robin ties and all the ties of the team were organized in Spain on the outdoor clay surface from 24th April to 26th April. The Poland team played their first tie against the team of Yugoslavia and had a very bad start in the competition. The Polish team lost the round by a score of 0-3. In their second tie the Polish team took on the challenge of the Netherlands team, something was going wrong for the Poland team because the team again lost the round by a score of 0-3. In the third tie of the Poland team the challenge of the Macedonia F.Y.R. team was quite easy to bear as compared with the last two ties. The Poland team took their rivals in their control and did not let a single chance of winning to the Macedonian team. The Poland team at last managed to win their last tie with a score of 3-0. The overall performance of Poland in the 2001 competition was very poor, the team lost their two ties by a great difference and the victory in the last tie was not enough for any promotion for the team.
