Morocco at the 2001 Federation Cup began their performance on 15th May and played their last tie on 17th May in Turkey on the outdoor clay surface. The Moroccan team had to play three Round Robin ties and the first tie was schedule against the team of Algeria but the weak team of Algeria got their opponents down and the Moroccan team lost the round by 1-2 thus the very beginning of the team was not good enough. In the second round the Moroccan team met with the team of Finland and it was not a very easy team to take on for the Moroccans. The third tie of the Moroccan team was again a very tough one both the teams had a close competition but in the end it was the Moroccan team who lost the round by the same score of 1-2. The Moroccan team’s defeat in the three ties held them back from entering in the next group of their zone.
