Performance of Kazakhstan at the 2001 Federation Cup
Kazakhstan at the 2001 Federation Cup was in the Asia/Oceania group I along with the teams like China, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Pacific Oceania, South Korea, Thailand and Uzbekistan. Kazakhstan had a very poor start in this competition as they lost all its round robins matches. In the first match China defeated Kazakhstan by the score of 3:0, and then in the second match Uzbekistan also defeated Kazakhstan by the same score of 3:0. In the third and the fourth match as well Chinese Taipei and Thailand trounced Kazakhstan by the same score of 3:0. All the teams had no trouble at all as they won their matches with ease. So as to a very disgusting presentation in this group by Kazakhstan, they were relegated to the group II for the 2002 Fed Cup.
Here’s a summary of the performance of Kazakhstan at the 2001 Federation Cup
The overall performance of Kazakhstan at the 2001 Federation Cup was repulsive as they did not even win a single game out of the four matches they played. This was one of Kazakhstan’s poorest performances in this competition and therefore they were demoted from group I to group II for the next year’s tournament.
