The Federation Cup was initially conceptualized by Hazel Wightman in 1919. However, it took four decades to convert the concept into reality. Cuba played against Barbados, Guatemala and El Salvador during their robin rounds. None of the competitors managed to score a single win. As a result, Cuba emerged as the champion and defeated every rival by an outstanding score of 3-0. Puerto Rico managed to win the first play off round played against Cuba by 1-2 score. Still, Cuba kept the winning spirit high and beat Costa Rica in the final play off round by a score of 2-0.
