Syria at the 2000 Fed Cup played a total of five ties in Asia/Oceania Group 2 pool B round robins. In the first tie held in 25 April on hard outdoor court in Japan, Tajikistan defeated Syria. The score line for Syria was 0-3.

The next tie was on the next day in which Sri Lanka defeated Syria. In this tie too Syria lost both matches played. On the 27th Pakistan played against Syria and defeated it. Syria managed to win one match from the three.

The tie conducted on 28th April too was bad for Syria as it lost to Philippines 0-3.

The last tie was on the 29th against Jordan. Syria managed to win just one game. The score was 1-2.

Here’s a summary of the performance of Syria at the 2000 Federation Cup

The performance of Syria at the 2000 Fed Cup was an utterly disastrous one. It lost all the ties in the round robin against the teams of Asia/Oceania Group 2 pool B. It managed to win just two games from Pakistan and Jordan in the ties against them. Syria would need much more stamina tact and experience to stun the opponents.
