Panama at the 2000 Fed Cup was placed in the Group II of the American zone. In the first round robin match against Antigua and Barbuda, Panama won by 2-1.
The next match however featured Panama loosing to Ecuador by 0-3. The third round robin contest also yielded Panama as the looser to Bahamas by 0-3. Panama was again defeated by Bermuda by 1-2.
Also, Panama won against Barbados by 2-1. Thus, Panama was ousted from the 2000 Fed Cup owing to irregular victories.
