Introduction

Jordan made its debut entry in the 2000 Fed Cup itself. Jordan team is currently managed and administered by Jordan Tennis Federation. Jordan at the 2000 Fed Cup made an entry in its first tournament with a full vigor and strong will to get through the hurdles of this esteemed women tournament. The team captain was Riyad As’ad and official team players were Dina Naffa and Dina Dajani.

Jordan at the 2000 Fed Cup was a participant in the Group II B of the Asia/Oceania Zone. Its first tournament was hosted by Japan on the hard-outdoor surface.

In the first round robin, it played against Philippines and lost the round by a score line of 0-3. Jordan lost the second round robin by a score line of 1-2 against Tajikistan. Sri Lanka was its rival team in the third round robin. Here it won the round by a score line of 2-1.

It was defeated by Pakistan in the fourth round robin with a 1-2 score line. It got a two match victory by defeating Syria in the fifth round robin.
