The Brazilian team played four Round Robin ties and the first round was played against the team of Chile in which the Brazilian team registered their first victory and the score of their first tie was 2-1. In the second tie the team took on Puerto Rico and defeated them as well in 3 matches and won the round. In the third round the Brazilian team played against the team of Venezuela and this tie seemed the most difficult one for the team because the Venezuelan team defeated the Brazilian team completely by a score of 0-3. The fourth and the last tie of the Brazilian team was played against the team of Canada and even in this round the Brazil team could not maintain their performance and lost the round by 1-2.
Thus the Brazilian team’s challenge came to an end in the competition. The team could win only two ties which were not at all enough for them to advance further in any group.
