Australia was placed in the World Group C.The first round robin was played against Belgium, Australia faced a defeat in the hands of Belgium with a score of 1-2.France defeated Australia with a score of 1-2 in the second round robin. Russia defeated Australia in the third round robin with a marginal score of 1-2.
