Slovenia at the 1994 Federation Cup

From the year 1992 Slovenia participated as an independent nation in the Fed Cup. Before that Slovenian played under the Yugoslavia. From the year they started participating in the fed cup, their performance has been quite impressive as they reached the semi finals from the first year itself. Tina KRIZAN played a total of 13 games and won a total of 9 games making her the most deserving player of Slovenia. Till date Slovenia has played a total of 13 games out of which they have won an incredibly 9 games. They always participated in the Europe/Africa group. Their best performance was in the year 1992 when they went up to the semi finals of the fed cup.

Slovenia at the 1994 Fed Cup started of by winning their first match of the year against Zimbabwe with a stylish score of 3-0. The match was played at Austria on clay out door turf. The next match followed with another win against Ireland and having a score line of 3-0. To the disappointment of Slovenia they lost their next match against arch rivals Ukraine. The match ended with a score line of 2-1 of the 1st Round match. They played a total of three games in the year 1994 out which they won 2 and lost one.

Slovenia at the 1994 Fed Cup showed some amount of mixed action where on side they won two games against Zimbabwe and Ireland and on the other side they lost against Ukraine. Comparatively they displayed an average performance.
