Slovak Republic at the 1994 Federation Cup

Before 1994, Slovak players played under the Czechoslovakian national team in the fed cup. From the year 1994, they started playing of as a national team. The very first year itself they displayed some real good action and showed everyone that they were here to play and not only play but also win. The first year they played in the Europe/Africa Group. Karina HABSUDOVA played a total six games and showed some great performance by winning five of them becoming a national Tennis idol.

Slovak Republic at the 1994 Fed Cup started of in a great winning style. They smacked down some real big names. The first match was played at Austria. The game was played against Lithuania which they opened with a 3-0 win. The following next match was played against Greece which ones again they won with the score of 3-0. The other match was also played against Greece which was once again won with the previous score line only. They played their first quarter final match of the Fed Cup against Georgia with the score line of 2-1 and the Slovak Republic was crowned winner. In their next match of the fed cup, they participated in the world group where they played against Finland and also won with a score of 2-1. The last match of year saw some great action from both sides that is Germany and the Slovak Republic. The final score resulted in Germany winning with a score of 2-1.

Slovak Republic at the 1994 Fed Cup played a total of 6 games winning 5 of them. The lost against Germany and won against Greece, Georgia, Finland and Lithuania.
