Mexico at the 1994 Federation Cup

Mexico took part in these Federation Cup tournaments for the first time in the year 1964.The Mexico team played against Czechoslovakia at the U.S.A grass court in the year 1964 from the World Group and faced a defeat under the hands Czechoslovakia. . In the year 1973, Mexico reached the quarterfinals round and defeated the Austria team with a score line of 3-0 at the Mexico carpet court from the World Group Qualifying round. They reached the semifinals in the year 1992 at the Mexico clay court and defeated the Venezuela team with a score line of 3-0 but were unfortunate since they lost against Chile in the final.

These round robins were played at the clay court of Bolivia from the American Zone Group I C.The first round robin, Puerto Rico was defeated by the Mexico players with a marginal score of 2-1.Uruguay defeated Mexico in the second round robin with a score line of 1-2.The first round played against Uruguay, Mexico defeated Uruguay with a score line of 3-0.Cuba defeated Mexico with a score line of 1-2.
