In its first round robin against Turkey, Belgium emerged victorious by score of 3-0. The second round robin clash against Estonia also brought victory for Belgium by 3-0. In the first round qualifiers, Belgium again won against Turkey by 3-0. The next qualifier too yielded Belgium triumph over Great Britain by 2-0. This performance advanced Belgium in the World group. In the first round of World group, Belgium lost to Sweden by 1-2.
