Davis Cup being the premier international tennis event for Mens is held annually. This tournament is unique in itself as it follows a completely different format from all other tennis tournaments. The 2003 Davis Cup was the 92nd edition of this tournament. Amongst the total of 135 teams that participated Lithuania at the 2003 Davis Cup was one of the contenders. This team appeared for the first time in the Davis Cup in the year 1994. However in the earlier stage the Lithuanian players competed in this tournament under the team of Soviet Union. The Lithuanian Tennis Association maintains the Lithuania Davis Cup team.

In this year it contested in six rounds of Round Robin. In the first round robin it faced Armenia and defeated it by a score line of 3-0. In the second round robin it competed against Angola and defeated it by 2-1. In the third round robin it lost to Algeria by a score line of 1-2. In the fourth round robin it lost to Hungary by 0-3. In the fifth round robin it again lost to Estonia by a score line of 1-2. In the sixth round robin the match against Algeria was not played as it had been played earlier.
