Pacific Oceania at the 2000 Davis Cup was placed in the Group III of the Asia/ Oceanic zone. Pacific Oceania played their first Davis Cup tournament in the Year 1995. The team of Pacific Oceania consists of players from associate member islands in Oceania excluding Australia and New Zealand.

Eight countries participated in the Group III of the Asia / Oceania zone. The names of the countries that participated in this group were Bangladesh, Kuwait, Pacific Oceania, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria and Tajikistan. Among the above mentioned countries Kuwait and Syria were advanced to the Group II for the next year’s Davis Cup owing to their satisfactory performances whereas Bangladesh and Pacific Oceania did not perform very well and thus they were relegated to Group IV for the next year’s Davis Cup tournament.

Pacific Oceania played their first round robin match against Qatar on February 9. They were terribly defeated with a score of 0-3. Pacific Oceania played their second Round Robin match against Bangladesh on February 10. They were also defeated on this occasion with a score of 1-2. Pacific Oceania played their third round robin match against Kuwait on February 11.
