Introduction

Iran at the 2000 Davis Cup played in the Zone Group Three. Iran competed against Chinese Taipei, Honk Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan and Philippines.

Performance of Indonesia at the 2000 Davis Cup

The first match that was played by Iran at the 2000 Davis Cup was against Malasiya. The match was held at the National Center in the city of Kula Lumpur, Malasiya. The matches took place from 4th of February to 6th of February. The court was a hard synpave indoors court. Iran could not win this match but the players offered excellent competition. The team of Iran gave a terrific fight but lost to Malaysia by the score 3-2.

The second match that was played by Iran at the 2000 Davis Cup was against Philippines. The match took place at the Colombian association, Manilla, Philippines. The match lasted for two days and took place from 17th March to 19th March 2000. The type of the court on which the match was played on was red clay outdoors court. Iran defeated Philippines at the match. Though the performance of Philippines was also good Iran won the match by the score 3-2.

It can be concluded that the performance offered by Iran at the 2000 Davis Cup was average but not satisfactory.
