The first set of matches at the Davis Cup that Brunei played was against Jordan. These games were held at the Al-Hussein Sports City Amman, Jordan on 24th April 2000. Brunei players tried their best but out of the total 3 matches that Brunei played against Jordan, 2 were won by the Jordan players while 1 was won by Brunei’s players. Brunei faced the talented players from Saudi Arabia in the match played on 26 April 2000, in this match Brunei lost all the 3 events played. Brunei was once again defeated in all 3 events played, this time it was United Arab Emirates who defeated Brunei in match played on 27 April 2000. The same thing was repeated in the match played on 28 April 2000; here Brunei was defeated by Fiji in all three events played. Brunei continued its losing spree in the match played on 29 April 2000; Brunei was defeated in all 3 events by Bahrain. Nothing new happened in the last match played on 30 April 2000, this time Oman defeated Brunei in all 3 events played.
