Davis Cup is a tennis tournament that is held only for Mens. This tournament found its conception in a challenge between Great Britain and United States. Four tennis players of the Harvard University conceived this idea in the year 1899. Amongst them Dwight F. Davis played a very important role in the development of the game. He actually designed the complete format of the game. Therefore formerly named as the International Lawn Tennis Challenge this game was renamed as the Davis Cup in the year 1945 in his honor. The 1995 Davis Cup was the 84th edition of this tournament. Amongst the 115 nations that participated Italy at the 1995 Davis Cup was one of the prominent participants.
