Davis Cup was formerly known as the International Lawn Tennis Challenge. Davis Cup is regarded as the largest annual international event that is held in the sport of tennis. This tournament found its origins in a tennis showdown that was conceived by four tennis players of the Harvard University. This tournament like other Grand Slam tournaments also follows the knock out policy. However the format of the game is completely different from the other tennis tournaments.
