The United States surprised Great Britain recording 3-0 victory. The United States clinched the first title at Boston, Massachusetts in 1900. Australia is the second successful nation with 28 titles, while Great Britain has managed to record 9 Davis Cup victories to date. Australia dominated Davis Cup from 1950 to 1967, recording 15 victories in 18 years. ITF conducted 81st edition of Davis Cup in 1992. This edition of the tournament included total 92 national teams. El Salvador made sensational start in the tournament beating Bolivia 3-0 in first round robin match. In the second round robin match they reduced Jamaica’s dreams to dust and recorded their second victory in the tournament. Jamaica suffered 0-3 defeat at the hands of El Salvador. Against Puerto Rica in the last round robin match they failed to keep consistency in their performance and handed a comfortable 3-0 victory to Puerto Rica.
