Pakistan at the 1991Davis Cup

Since the beginning of the Davis cup tournament Tennis competition the contest has been one of great hard work and the ability to play on any type of tennis court. The Davis cup tournament Tennis contest is one of its kinds in the whole world in that the competition is held only between the national men’s tennis teams. The 1991 Davis Cup was the 80th event of the Davis cup tournament Tennis and a total number of 87 teams were trying their best at the matches to become the winner of the Davis Cup. Pakistan at the 1991Davis Cup was trying to win the contest from the Group II of the Asia/Oceania zone and the Pakistan Davis cup tournament Tennis team proudly held the flag of the nation of Pakistan at the Davis Cup.

Pakistan at the 1991Davis Cup was hoping to come out of the Group II and get in the next level of the contest. The Pakistan team easily cleared the first round and reached in the quarterfinals round to play against the team of Jordan which was not at all difficult for the team. The matches of the round were scheduled on 14th June in Jordan and the court was the outdoor hard court. The team of Pakistan had girded their loins against the team of Jordan and the final result was that the team of Jordan lost completely at the round by losing all the 5 matches and the Pakistan team then reached in the semifinals round. In the round of the semifinal the Pakistan team had to play against the team of Chinese Taipei and the matches were carried out in Taipei on 21 July on the outdoor hard court. The rival team did not give any chance to the team of Pakistan and the team lost all the 5 matches and remained in their group.

The performance of Pakistan at the 1991Davis Cup can be described as one of utter loss and utter win at the contest, the team could not maintain the performance in the semifinal round and had to pay the price for it.
