Davis Cup is the premier tennis tournament in the world of Men Tennis. It is regarded as the largest annual international team competition in the sport of tennis. Started as a challenge between the United States and Great Britain, this tournament was started in the year 1900. This tournament derives its name from a Harvard university tennis player Dwight F. Davis who was also a part of the tennis showdown between Great Britain and the United States of America. Formerly it was known as the International Lawn Tennis Challenge. 1950 Davis Cup is the thirty-ninth edition of this tournament. The final event of this tournament was played at the West Side Tennis Club in Forrest Hills in New York in the Unites States of America.
