Kingston is the capital and the largest city of Jamaica, the third island in the Caribbean. The city is located on the southern coast of island country. Kingston is nestled in the picturesque locations of a natural harbor that is protected by the Palisadoes, a long split that adds to the natural beauty of this Island. Kingston is the largest English-speaking city in the South of the United States. It is said that Kingston was founded by the refugees of the disastrous earthquake of 1693 that destroyed much of the main port city Port Royal. Blue Mountain Inland and a narrow coastal land surround Kingston. The climate is typically tropical with a hot and humid weather all the year round. However the higher uplands in the inland regions have more temperate climate in Jamaica.
